Mindel and Morse Builders is a residential construction and remodeling company based in Putney, Vermont. Whether building an entire new structure from the ground up or renovating one room to complete the realization of a home, our team is dedicated to helping homeowners bring their visions to life while embracing building practices that positively impact the environment, the planet, and the people whose lives unfold within the space.
We pride ourselves in our attention to detail and our commitment to working as a team with homeowners, designers, trade partners, and vendors.
Our company was founded in 1981 by Steve Mindel and Jonathan Morse. Gero Dolfus, who has been leading the company since 2018, originally started working worked for Steve and Jonathan as a carpenters helper. He sees himself as a steward of Mindel and Morse Builders, their principles, their team, the houses they have built, and the large group of clients that has formed over the years.
In 2017, Gero became a certified Passive House Builder and a dad. He has been a licensed construction supervisor in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts since 2023.
